Felting

I got to try out felting in the craft field at the Glastonbury festival. Here's what I made:

Very happy with my first attempt. It may just become a new hobby for me. For now I need to make a frame.

Sweet. It's not a technique I've seen a lot about. Looks like fun though.

Cheers! I was doing dry crafting onto a foam background. Basically you take unspun wool, tear off a piece and stab it lots of times with a felting needle until it's the shape and texture you want. Others were making butterflies and flowers they could use on garments but I went for the picture option. I think it took about an hour with basic guidance to get started from the wonderful Emma, http://emmafountain.co.uk

:-D I told Emma about this forum and said I'd show off my work here. She was glad to have a man doing a workshop. There was so much else I wanted to try at the festival.
