HELP finding a feminine moto jacket

Postby nekamantix on Sat Dec 03, 2011 3:11 pm

Where can I find a more "feminine" moto jacket? I love that look of a classic moto jacket, but I am 5'2 and 110 pounds so they all look SUPER bulky on me. My husband bought me one from AYAP years ago and it's bad ass, but makes me look ridiculous!

Does anyone have an idea where I could get a rockin' moto jacket that's less "bulky" & made for the female body for Xmas??

It's my one and only Xmas want!!!

Etsy! Definitely etsy :) they can be a bit overpriced, but you can find some real treasures on there.

if you want a leather one, ayp has the 75$ jacket that you can just beat and oil to break it in nicely. I just got one of those for winter and love it....also hellcatpunks in japan makes a siccckkk cloth moto style jacket with leopard and silk lining or all leopard. They are expensive like 120$ but they are really well made and I love that jacket...the only thing is watch the measurements because they are really fitted. Like i wear a small/medium usually and in these jackets the small barely goes over my upper arms.

I share in your frustration! I'm also looking for a new one since I got drunk and left my last leather jacket in a bar and lost my denim whilst drunk on a beach, but heyho. I'm not struggling finding feminine ones but maybe that's because that's open to interpretation (only finding them in UK stores m'fraid). I'm struggling with cost massively! I can only find ones at like £100 or above!
Peace through powerviolence.

might as well be searching for the holy grail, lol!!

i've had the same issues over the years. a lot of moto jackets are more flattering on curvy and robust women... stick skinny women (like myself) end up looking weird in a traditional moto.. maybe because they're so stiff.

this is pretty cute (and it's synthetic). found it on here a few months ago. the shop owner makes very cute clothing:

I'm small too but I usually layer; hoodie, vest, scarf, leather jacket. Mine's big. At first I felt kind of butch in it but now I love it and wouldn't trade it for all the tea in China!

If you could handle one that's not real leather, Forever 21 have some cute stuff on their website right now...

The jackets on here can be pretty spendy but they are definitely worth it.

There are some cute ones on here too.

Hope you can find one!
