Things you will need :
1.An old or new belt whichever you have, make sure it's a sturdy belt and its a decent width. I used a bunch of animal print leather belts i ordered wholesale to make them.
2.leather hole puncher (like the tool for punching new belt holes)
3.bondage rings, you can usually get the d ring/bondage ring combo form punk stores i really like crustpunks.org, studsandspikes.com, and sometimes ayp has them, but they are the small ones.
4.a thick leather material or vinyl if you want a vegan belt
5.snap rivets, get the set at michaels that comes with the tool that way you don't have to spend more money the next time you get them
6.piece of chalk
7. A HAMMER!
step 1 : Pick how many bondage rings you want on your belt, smaller rings i usually put at least 7 on or bigger ones i'll use about 5.. you can pick how many you like it doesn't matter just make sure your belt is big enough.
so we'll say we're gonna do 7. Take your thick fabric that you bought ( i get the thin leather strips from michaels so i don't have to measure both length and width cuz i'm lazy). Cut the fabric a little bit thinner than the width of the belt and about 2 inches long. You can round the corners if you want with a pair of scissors just to give it a "finished" look.
step 2 : find the center of of your pieces and mark it with your chalk. Now draw a line on either side halfway between your first mark and the edge of the fabric. Take your leather hole punch and punch a hole in each square you made in the center of fabric, say you made your fabric 3" x 1" 3long 1 wide... put your hole at .5" of the width..
step 3 : measure your belt let's say it's 34" from end to the first hole. We're gonna do 5 large rings with 3" length, you can guestimate at this point i usually just eyeball it. but flip the belt over and mark where you want your 3" pieces of fabric to sit, (the space between the bondage rings included like say put one down then space out the next one 5") On the back of the belt where you made your marks for the placement of the fabric, put one of the already cut and punched pieces up against the belt and mark where your holes were on the fabric on the belt. Do it for each spot that you want on the bondage belt. Now punch out all those spots.
step 4 : Take your rivets, and a hammer flip the belt over so you're looking at the "good" side (mine are usually animal print) put one rivet in the first hole you made, and hammer it closed (directions for rivets come with most sets you buy), put the second rivet it, now insert the d ring part of the bondage ring. Make sure it fits tightly in your fabric other wise it will hang and wobble a lot.rivet the second two holes in that piece of fabric and PRESTO! you have one bondage ring on already!
step 5: finish attaching all the rest onto your belt and get ready to have a fun day of jingle belt wearing!!!
