Early Christmas gift... snakebites and septum. Trying to not mess with the snakebites but my lip is soooooo chapped and swollen it's driving me mad! Anyway, glad I can post in this thread. First new piercings in 13 years. Damn I'm aging myself!

MEG! They look great! My lips were ALWAYS chapped when I first got them pierced (I did each side about a yr apart). You can use chapstick, just try to get something more natural and soothing, and NOTHING tingly or minty or you will seriously fucking hate your life for about 10 minutes.

Honestly I have been sleeping with my mouth open and drooling everywhere causing the dryness. Then I just cant help but pick... LOL Drinking tons of water and using plain chapstick. Once my nose is unplugged hopefully I'll stop the mouth breathing and nasty drooling! Starting to not be so tender now. Only when caked with drool

you could always try switching them out to straight posts... they're much more comfortable to heal in and then you could put the hoops back in afterwords.

It was awesome! This was my first oral piercing so I was a little nervous. I actually got pierced by an apprentice so I only had to pay for cost of jewelry, so that was a pleasant surprise! (I tipped her, of course, because she did an awesome job) The pain wasn't as bad as I expected, it actually just felt like a dull stabbing to me and was way less painful than my nostrils were, but my eyes watered a lot. My lip is already pretty swollen and I'll probably look like a duck for a few days, but I love the piercing!

Hi, an update.. I am 21 now and have both cheeks (face!), septum, nose, bridge, 2 beauty spots, a pair of snakebites, my surface piercing under my eye has come out unfortunately... my gauge is about 14mm at the mo goal is 25mm.... and 2nd ear holes!
