Anyway, I found this old tutorial of mine I posted on the old PRD (you can't find it anymore when you do a search on here)
What it looked like:

- 9 meters of black tule (that's what it's called right?)
- 4 meters of bright pink tule
- 4 meters of light pink tule (because the bright one was kinda fluorecent-ish and it doesn't show when the lighter one is used too)
(My skirt is about 40 cm long by the way)
- a black strip of fabric that fits around your waist
So, first of all, I folded the bright pink tule in two, so it was only 2 meters long. I sewed that to the black fabric in flat folds, because you don't want the skirt to be too wide. (I only sewed on the black tule otherwise)
Then I sewed on the bright pink tule the same way as the light pink one (folded in 2, flat folds etc...) I didn't sew it on top of the bright pink one though, because we didn't know if the sewing machine would be able to sew something that thick. (So I just sewed it above, as you can see on the pictures)
The last layer is the black one, I don't know what the word in English is but I'll try and explain what I did with it. I sewed a thread through the tule, which was 8 meters long, and then I pushed the tule to one side, so the 8 meters became about 90 cm or something. (Actually we were going to do all the layers like this, but we figured the skirt would become really really wide that way)
as you can see, we first sewed the black tule a ribbon-thingy, my mom found that easier to sew or something.
I made it close with those hook-thingies:
And I also sewed on 15 little light pink bows
Just ask me if things aren't very clear, I tried my best to explain everything but I just don't know the english words for everything
