Tutorial: How to Knit

Awesome tut!

But since, crocheting is apparently easier and quicker than knitting, can you do another tutorial for crocheting if it's not a problem?

wow this is crazy! i litrally like just taught myself to knit about 2 weeks ago... i used the book stich and bitch it was ok.. i've already knitted scarf... just a normal knit stitch though.... this week i'm gonna try stripes! god its sad that i'm well excited about making stripes... my boyfriend thinks i'm insane!

ahaha! that's weird, i was going to do the same damn thing as soon as I finished my first normal-knit scarf. X3

your bf will appreciate it more when the cold weather hits and he has something snuggly and made with love.

I'm still confused, but I liked the photos better than the video. How am I supposed to see what the girl in the video was doing when they sped it up?

I got a book out of the library to try teach myself to knit, but I'm not good at learning from books either... I guess I'm a visual learner also. I'm still gonna try with this tut though.

if you can cut paper with your right hand you can knit.... I'm left handed, and I knit the normal (continental) way... knitting is a two handed operation...give doing it the normal way a shot,, and if it feels all clunky and awkward it is because it is a new skill.

Hey Molly... slip knots are totally cheating, your cast on is way better.

I'm all about circular needles... I really like them a lot. I like them cause they are easier for me to handle. I definately recommend a circular needle.

that looks so complicated. I know a friend of mine that knows how to knit. My grandmother knows how to crochet and tried to teach my cousin but apparently it didn't work out very well.

You should try it. Easy christmas gifts...I've made over 4 scarves in the past week! I have been knitting for awhile, but her tut looks very easy to follow.

By the time I get the cash, I'd still have to wait until after I moved. But where I'm moving, I need scarves, so I guess I'll be practicing making scarves. It all works out!

but i hve been knitting for a few years and all i can really make are scarves and shawls.

id really like to learn how to make a hat. you know just like a simple one color beanie??
