I made this out of a medium weight stretch cotton twill that has a slight stripe to it. Sassy!

Alright, this tutorial is too good. I can NEVER find pencil skirts that fit right at stores... I just wish I could figure out how to use my sewing machine

this was rad i am sick today and it inspired me to make a skirt out of 2 pairs of skull printed stretch capris i dont wear anymore. when i feel better i'm using your lesson to make me a kick ass green leopard print pencil skirt! thanks hun!

I personally wouldnt hand sew it. I like Mine TIIIGHHHTTTT and I'm sure itd bust a lot easier (but I tend to bust my machine seams too ). But if you made it loose enough I dont see why you couldnt hand sew it. And its relatively easy. Once you get the pieces drafted its a piece of cake!
