this is really great. if anyone wants some more reading on screenprinting i would recommend DIY screenprinting by microcosm publishing. it's graphic almost comic book style so you get detailed images of different techniques. i think the book is like 9$ on microcosm's website.

ahh man, this is great. I'm scared to try it in case i fuck it up (like mixing the emulsion under a normal light) ... but yeah. This is brilliant!

I've decided that when Amanda gets back we are so staking out a place in my basement and trying this. I'm too much of a pansy to try it myself.

yea, i saved all those scans because this tutorial seems pretty amazing, it's just that i feel like too much of pussy to try it out... and that my mother would flip a shit if i had it anywhere (visible or noticable) in our apartment, haha. still, it looks fucking awesome and i think i'll try it anyway :P

I loved that! But it seems like so much work...does anyone know how much it would cost to go to a screen printer just to get 1 shirt printed?

Ugh, I don't know what I'm doing wrong! I've left the emulsion to dry in a dark room for hours, then exposed for 10 minutes and 12 minutes (what the directions on the box said for my size screen, with the lightbulb 12 inches away), but when I go to wash out the emulsion, it all comes off!!! what da fuck.
It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.
