any ''walk of shame'' revival tips?

Postby Samantha Mafia on Sat Sep 02, 2006 3:04 pm

ok, so most of us have done/will do it at some point...anyone got any tips for maybe looking that little bit less skanky or to freshen up the morning after the night before? or even just if you stay round a friend's/boyfriend's spur of the moment and have no clean stuff with you?

i came back from my boyfriend's house this mornign feeling sooo so so gross and smelly from last nights drinking, dancing and romancing haha

maybe this is a hopeless cause hehe.

wet naps, baby powder, body spray and a hair tie. wet naps to clean yourself up with, baby powder to dust oily off your face or rub it into your hair if it's super greasy, body spray incase you got extra smelly, and the hair tie to just pull your hair back and go...... i carry these things with me when i travel or i'm spending the night somewhere. great if you've got 15 minutes before you've got to go to breakfast.

i dont know what you can do if you have no clean stuff with you but in the future their is some things that might help if you just keep them in your purse.

-extra hair band, for the oily greasy day after hair

-a mini brush, depending on how crazy you got and how tangly your hair gets you might need this

-hand sanitizer, i like to believe it works and at least it will take the sex smell away

-maybe some perfume, the mini version of whatever you like

-wet naps.
-a hat, scarf or elastic bands.
-mini deoderant or baby powder for the pits. (most people have baby powder in their bathroom so if you are at someone elses you dont have to worry about using their deoderant...or smelling)
-breath strips.
-hand sanitizer....best thing in life ever!

ps
when i originally thought this was ways of avoiding the literal 'walk of shame' ( when he finishes on your back and you have to walk bent over to go clean up, if he doesnt clean it off you himself directly after)

ohhhh ive heard some funny walk of shame stories.

that was sorority boys. and the walk of shame is when you have to walk home/dorm room (usually happens at college) wearing what you wore last night, looking like shit and possibly smelly from what happened the night before

i'd say a toothbrush, but you can use your finger and do an ok job.
hair elastic or scarf.
energy bar-because if it was a late night, you're probably still exhausted.
some sort of make-up remover

i used to leave a change of clothes and a towel in my car in case i got stuck somewhere because i was too tired to drive home or my street had flooded out. (at the time, i lived half a block away from the ocean.) at the minimum, keep fresh underwear, spare t-shirt, tights (which you should keep in your car anyway in case you get a run), socks and comfy shoes.

I always carry my makeup compact with me, cover up the dark circles under the eyes from lack of sleep and takes away the face-shine.

I agree with hand sanitizer and breath strips! If you don't want to carry a bottle of water around then pick one up asap, especially if you've been drinking. And this may sound odd but a fabric softener dryer sheet (like Bounce) apparently takes away hair static and rub it on yourself a little, especially the ones with Febreeze. It's easier to carry around then little perfume and your bag will smell good too.

Luckily, it's usually the boys doing the walk of shame from my house

I have a mini body spray (the travel ones they do in superdrug for the summer holidays), travel toothbrush, hairbands & sunglasses.

NEVER FORGET YOUR SUNGLASSES LADIES!!!! Hides a multitude of sins & if it comes to it you can pretend you didnt see anyone about to bust you doing the walk of shame 8)

Oil wipes - for your face
small comb or brush
wet naps
hair spray
body spray
Oral-B brush ups

All of these things are small and can fit in a purse. I always carry brush-ups with me because I hate when my teeth are dirty.
Nowadays all the songs on the radio they all drive me crazy
