honking painful zits, blackhead removal

Postby kissmycombatboots on Tue Aug 22, 2006 11:58 pm

ever get those giant, under the skin, just won't be popped for the life of you zits? next time you're plagued with one, grab a little neosporin [or any other antibiotic petroleum jelly based product] and cover the zit with it. then slap on a bandaid and hit the sack. the antibiotic will penetrate the skin and remove some of the infection. the petroleum jelly base will keep the skin smooth and soft, so your cover up will go on easier.
if you do this for a few nights in a row, you'll see a vast improvement.

if you get blackheads that are hard to scrub off, take the rounded end of a safety pin to them. [you know, the spring-like end, not the clasp or point] center the blackhead in the circle of metal and press down. this puts pressure around the entire blackhead, and forces the dirt and oil out not down. you'll be amazed how much gunk comes out, and how clean the pore stays. follow up with a good antibacterial soap or face wash to prevent any new infection from setting in.

thank you SO MUCH for that pimple tip. Three days before the start of school and the Zit of Doom has taken up residence on my face. I've tried everything else, so let's see how this works....

I love the safety pin tip. Somebody needs to write a book called "1000 things you never realised you could do with safety pins."

lol. Yea, I've always known of the safety pin thing, it helps alot, cos you don't have to kill your face. Thankies for the tip of neosporin and a bandaid. I don't wear powder or anything like that, but I'm sure it also helps for the pain!

Peace and Stars~

i used polysporin because i couldnt find neosporin and i thought they would be alot alike since they both end in 'sporin'...anyways, i tried it and it totally works. It's taken a couple nights but its waaay easier to cover up those suckers. great tip. thanks!
