No more flies?

As it gets warmer, I'm getting deluged by black flies here in India. My dad said that if you hang clear blastic baggies with water in them, that the flies won't come into your house. I had another friend say the same thing, it has to do with the reflections on the clear bag?

Anyone else heard of this??? Tried it??

Small containers of sugar water. Put them in random places, the flies find them, land for a sip and drown.

ive heard that but i heard to put a penny in the bag i have no idea why and i dont think it worked.

I think this only works in random ass places in Phoenix wear the flies have been breeding inside of high schools and are coming out mentally retarded. =P

Gotta stick with the vinegar in a cup, plastic wrap over it, poke holes in the plastic.

We were catching 100's a day in my old house.

i think id actually read it on here, but take a slice of lemon and cover it in sugar, the sugar will attract it, the citric acid will kill it. ive never actually tried it though, id rather just try to get them out instead of killing
