Substitute Teaching = Easy $$$

Postby dirtyrottenlove on Wed Dec 03, 2008 1:27 am

Yep, its my new thing. I'll be subbing starting January. $85 per day... and all i needed was 60+ college credits.

Went for my interview today and already started filling out the paperwork. Next step is fingerprinting, background check, physical, and drug test--- I should be ready to go by January! Woo! So I can sub between semesters and on days I don't have class.

Then my current job shift is 4-8 Mon-Fri so I will definitly be able to work 2x and bank!

Thanks! This post isnt about me, though! I know times are tough and figured those who would consider such a position should know about the easy opportunity! There are some initial fees at first (processing, fingerprinting, certification fees) but it pays for itself in about 2 days of work :)

Two of my girl friends have started doing it, and they love it.

Good luck, It can be tough at times but I know you'll do great!!!
I wish that I could, I could sure use some extra money and my mom's school ALWAYS needs subs, but I'm still a lowly college freshman :(

here you have to be a teacher but any aussie's looking for good hours and pay (without to many qualifications needed) should try before and after school care. hours vary depending on the school but its usually 7-9am and then 3-6.30 pm. you dont have to work both and the pays upwards of $20 per hour and you can do vacation care which i believe has better pay.

You have to have your Bachelor's degree and pass the CBEST to be a substitute in CA.
