the strap on your shoes brakes....what do you do???

One time I was at a department store and the strap of my fav shoes broke.
The stupid bitch at the fitting room didn't want to give me a safety pin to pin it together so it wouldn't be flapping around.GRRRR!

So I wore them like flats the whole day.

I'm always really scared for that to happen one day when I'm away from home. I wear a pair of 4-year old mary janes, and the straps have broken about 4 times already (always when I was around the house, luckily, cause they're a size too big and they fall off without the straps!) so they aren't exactly very sturdy anymore. I'm sure if I give them a good pull, the straps would come off just like that!
Apart from that, the heels are coming off too! And the back of the heel is literally 1cm shorter than the front! And on the inside, the metal things that keeps the heels in place, have come through the sole

But I refuse to stop wearing them until I've found another pair of perfect mary janes!

i'd see if i could glue 'em back on with hot glue, super glue, or leather glue.

the straps on my favorite pair of mary janes broke a few years back. i used a thick needle & sewed them back on with dental floss. if you're careful & take your time with it, the contrast stitching can look really cute & dental floss is strong as hell. just go over it two or three times & you'll have some sturdy straps.

both straps broke while i was at work. i took the stapler from the fitting room and stapled like 15 staples on each one. haven't broke since. doesnt look too bad either.
