I tried the toothpaste on the wall trick and it was just...sticky. I only used a teeny amount too. Is there a trick I'm missing?

another use for it that a few friends of mine swear by is using toothpaste to put up mohawks or spike hair, as it goes firm but pliable when it sits in hair...plus it makes your hair mint fresh should anybody catch a mouthful in the pit

and the bags under your eyes, toothpaste will make them less visable.
I have also hears soemthing about mixing it with coffee grounds and rubbing it on your ass to get rid of celulite, but.... that just sounded a bit...off.

toothpaste is pretty sweet. a friend of mine just did a research paper on it.

that cellulite bit sounds like an old wives tale, and very messy.
when cleaning cds, make sure you use a gel! nothing that has a claim of "polishing" teeth. they have little bits in them that can actually scratch a cd more.

Toothpaste can help canker sores heal faster by "burning them." That's why it stings like hell when you brush your teeth and the toothpaste makes contact with the sore.

It's extremely painful, but worth it.

And it's better to work on burning the canker sore when it's small.

ohh yeah. CD's and DVD's. It'll clean'em, but I think you'd have to get one that was really basic. I remember making a big mess doing that, but it worked when I got the hang of it. If you're unsure- don't try it and blame me if it messes it up! There's so many new things in toothpaste since I used to do that.


Also, if you're a bit of a jerk you can use a white toothpaste to fill in holes in your apartment wall from nails before you move out.

you can put the cd in the toilet and flush the toilet and take it out, I swear to you it works. I don't know why or what the toilet does to help it but it works! I used to put toothpaste on the hinges of our bathroom (at our old house) to help it move easier. I don't know if it works on all hinges though.
