I'm a hairspray connoisseur! I've been doing weird things to my hair ever since I was in middle school, and have tried alot of the cheaper brands. One time I bought BedHead's Hard Head Hairspray and I also gave BedHead's Maxxed Out Massive Hold a shot, too. I think it was like $14 bucks or more! I'll never buy expensive hairspray again. I go through wayyyy too much of it to be spending that kind of money! Other hair products I've used have been worth it, but not hairspray!

I don't like Got2B Glued Blasting Freeze Spray hairspray, the one in the yellow can that looks like a bullhorn kinda. It leaves white flakes if you comb over it when it's drying. Awful stuff!
White Rain is not animal tested, so I tried it, but it doesn't hold!
I remember liking the smell of Aussie, but not the holding power so much.
Big Sexy Hair's Backcomb in a Bottle smelled like patcholui and mexican candy, I hated the smell so much that I returned it after the first use, so I don't know how well the stuff really works.
Alberto V05 Extreme Style Volume Blast Styling Spray was heavy feeling for me and didn't cut it through the whole day.

My favorites are:
-RAVE (the smell reminds me of my best friend because we used to tease our hair to high heavens when we were little punks :) )
-Aquanet (of course)

Tresseme is alright.
Dove smells amazing, like a shower, but I only have the mini travel size for touch ups. I'm afriad to buy the big bottle and have it not work.
Clairol Herbal Essences Set Me Up is so-so.
Same with Suave.

i think I'll give Garnier a shot, since I have most of their other hair products and they've been awesome to me :) Also, Got2B Sexy Voluptuous Volume just came out, the can looks similar to Aquanet and it's two dollars more. I'm curious to try that out too.

I used Tresseme for the first time the other day.. and it was AMAZINGGG. When I am out of hairspray, I am buying this.. It srayed lightly but heavily at the same time.. and it made my hair amazing.. better than aqua net and rave.. This made my hair stand up great with teasing, left it soft, no flakes, no stiffness.. and made my hair look great the next day!

I've seen this brand at Walmart before! I've always wanted to try it.. but now since I hear it works good, I'll have to try it!

actually, i believe beyond rthe zone is a sally's brand, it's their knockoff line of all the $$$ brands they carry. they usually work pretty well, too.

The Beyond The Zone "acid Shock" conditioning booster by them is AMAZINGGG! :smt007 :smt007

*Bump*

This is a good topic.

I've recently read OUTSTANDING reviews on L'Oreal's Elnett hairspray...check this out:
http://www.dailymakeover.com/blogs/thes ... spray.html

I've never seen that bottle in california before, but it is on Target's website! I'm gonna look for it next time I go there.

Garnier's "Full Control" is so-so...

I'm starting to get sick of RAVE and AquaNet actually!

And I have to say that BedHead's Hard Head hairspray is WORTH THE MONEY! I tried it again, got it in a double pack for a discounted price this time and boy howdy was I happy with it!

I've been meaning to give Aveda's Air Control a try...anyone know anything about that one?

I do like a bit of Elnett.

I loooove Fat Hair amplifying hairspray, but it's very stiff, so I wouldn't like it for long hair. Spiking up short hair it was brilliant though.
Fuck this.

girls, best hairspray ever = MOP (Modern Organic Products)

yeah its pricy, but it holds so well, smells orangey and not a smelly stink like most sprays.

criticisms - if you spray too close to your hair you'll just coat it too thickly and it'll go weird, it sprays a coat everywhere (all over my bathroom door and handle), and after a few days of using it and not washing it out your hair might go a bit greasy.

Overall? winner!
Work it hunny, you're a coffin girl now!

When i was living in Italy i was using this italian brand that was amazing!

It's called Splendor.
Pro: cheap, nice smell, dry quick and is really strong.
the only bad thing about it is that you can find it only in Italy.. next time I am gonna go there I gonna came back with boxes of it!

The pink version is the best

and on myspace and facebook there're even the fans pages..
