Petes??!?!?! Um. No. Not the best pizza by far. I grew up going to Pete's for damn near everything and it's good but not the best.

I just went to Kuma's Corner a place that serves intense burgers named after metal bands. It was really cool.

I went to kuma's the other day! It was cool but expensive. 13 bucks for the slayer burger, and although I had a ton of leftovers they were so mixed up it wasnt particularly appetizing.

I like going to clarkes every now and then

you also have to wait like 3 hours to get a seat at kuma's.

sooooo gooooood. however, they too sometimes have a very long wait. especially new years day. wound up going to sultan's market instead.

personally, there's this little taco diner at the corner of kedzie and irving park that i ADORE. they don't have a name (as far i can tell, the window just says 24 hr taco) and are indeed open 24 hours.

also, this irish pub called vaughn's has some really good food... like nachos. om nom nom nom.

smoque barbeque is always a win as well. it's right down the street from my house too. (:

Um. Girodanos, Unos, THAT is where chicago style deep dish comes from.
Aurelios is good for thin crust.
And of course, Maxwell Street. For all the grease you thought humanly possibly to eat, and more grilled onions than you can shake a stick at. And chicago style hot dogs. If you use ketchup, you're a tourist

they have delicious burgers on sourdough bread.

and taxco. definitely some awesome mexican there as well.

Burrito House on Addison and Kedzie.
I've only had veggie burger and calamari at Kuma's. I've loosened up on the vegetarianism so I may cheeseburger it up next time.
Leona's. I fucking love Leona's. I always go to/order from the one on Elston and Irving? I think.
I like Dharma Garden on Irving.
The Spice on Milwaukee and Diversey.

Tony's at Damen and Belmont is pretty okay.
BACCI'S oh my god Bacci's. The parmesan got fries and the eggplant parmesan sandwich Bacci style on garlic bread are to fucking die for.
I really like the portobello sandwich at Epic Burger too.
D&L Snackshop at Belmont and Kimball is pretty good for middle of the night drunk food or hangover breakfast.

Yes it is. I live on Spaulding just south of Barry. I love it because they dote on you and it soaks up booze in the tummy like a champ.

right underneath the clark and addison red line stop there's a burrito place called El Burrito Mexicano. haha, it's the bomb.
other than that, most of the places i know of have been said!
however, if you're heading northways...in Evanston, we have The Lucky Platter which is basically a funky diner but they have some really good/unexpected food. there's also Cross Rhodes which is cheap, greasy, good greek food.

95% of the time any mexican restaurant in roger's park will be booty banging good. i like la choza.
sultans hands down best lentil soup, falafel, spinach pie etc. but the pita they use IS NOT VEGAN. they say it is but i know for a fact it isn't from one of their employees thats a friend of mine. everything is delicious though, and affordable.
if you want indian food places on devon are good except know what you're getting, research ahead of time different dishes!
also, in lincoln park there is indian grill which is good, allendes has awesome tacos and burritos too.
if you want puerto rican food there is this awesome spot on california in humboldt park, i forget the name but i think it's borinquen.
for sushi i always head to shiroi hana, yum yum yum!
