I haven't been in ages and I'm just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for good vegan/veggie restaurants, classic movie theaters, stores, record shops, kitschy california stuff!

i'll be around orange county the 20th-24th this march
i'm looking for shows and stuff too, and will probably go to LA a bunch and venice beach

the pleasure chest in west hollywood is always fun- they have lots of cool novelty stuff, bondage/studded belts, fun lingerie in addition to all the regular sex shop stuff. you should try to go there though- its famous:)

in the basement of this art gallery (i think thats what it is) on the corner of hollywood blvd and cherokee the remnants of famed old punk club the masque are still down there. it's a storage room now, but they kept the original grafitti and stuff, totally worth checking out if you're into that. if you ask someone there they might let you look, i've only done this once and the guy working was super nice about it, but i don't know if it works all the time. never hurts to try!

there's a grrrrrreat record store in Huntington Beach called Vinyl Solutions. an amazing vegan restaurant called Bodhi Tree is in hb as well.
as for LA just walk up and down Melrose for kitchy goodness. Posers is the place if you're into Ben Sherman, Fred Perry, etc. Necromance has dead animals in jars, human finger bones, bugs in lucite, that sort of thing. Double Rainbow ice cream, mmmmmmmmmm.
of coures Amoeba Records is AMAZING and is on Sunset and Cahuenga in Hollywood. dope ass thai food at Toi in Hollywood as well, lots o vegan choices. cool thing is they're open until 4 am.
i am not ashamed of what i am but it often makes me sad.
