Punish Yourself, rather good for a french band.

Saw X on Wendesday, Social Distortion last night, Danzig Legacy tonight. I am disappointed in Danzig, over 2 hour set and you play like 5 Misfits songs with Doyle. Oh well.
Seeing Daaaaaascendants tomorrow and 7 Seconds on sunday.

I was at that Social D show. I thought they sounded pretty good. This is only the second time I've seen them live and they haven't disappointed me. I kind of figured Danzig would be like that. Although, he's pretty cool in his own right.

Also going to see Melt Banana on Tuesday. That should be an awesome time.

PORTISHEAD.
at the Shrine in LA.

holyshitohmygodfuckamazing

I cried like 4 times and then for the encore they started with "Roads" which is one of my top 5 songs of all time. I burst into tears and then during the chorus it turned into the ugly cry...

I've never been so emotionally exhausted after a show... it was just so amazing.

Tori Amos @ Royal Albert Hall - Absolutly amazing with tunes from her latest album amongst plenty from her back catalogue. I was up in the Gods but it still felt like an intimate gig.

for some reason, the paper books only concerts for me right now. I'm not complaining, it's much more fun than press conferences. any way, I saw a german band called luxuslärm which were good skill-wise but disgusting in their "we're all friends"-ways. hard to explain. their message was just so ... flat, and childish.

yesterday I saw royal republic which I had never heard of but seem to be kind of a big deal. the music was good enough, the show itself was, too, but the singer is the definition of over-compensating. he's a georgous man, no doubt, and a good musician to boot, but his extreme masculinity was just so comic-esque. I talked to a fan there about it and he said "Oh, so you're intimidated by it" which is hilarious because I know for a fact that if I just walked up to him and poked him in the chest and said "aqre you 100% sure you are as cool as you look on stage" he'd collapse and start crying. because he has a tiny penis.

I've always known I'd be a bank robber. So judge all you want, ladies and gentlemen. Because you never did become an astronaut.
